Archaeology as popular culture&#8221;, Cornelius Holtorf (Linnaeus University), comparar\u00e0 les narratives de l&#8217;arqueologia acad\u00e8mica amb les narratives de la cultura popular a trav\u00e9s de preguntes com per qu\u00e8 el passat importa, quin \u00e9s el rol de l&#8217;arqueologia, o analitzant el concepte d&#8217;autenticitat dintre d&#8217;aquesta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;From Las Vegas to the Bosnian Pyramids. Archaeology as popular culture&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>The past and archaeology are omnipresent in contemporary popular culture. Themed environments as in Las Vegas have long been drawing on archaeological storylines to connect to their audiences. Alternative archaeologies as the Bosnian Pyramids, too, can receive much popular attention. In this lecture I compare narratives told by academic archaeology with narratives told in popular culture. Why does the past matter? What is the role of archaeology? How does authenticity come into it?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cornelius Holtorf<\/strong>, Linnaeus University, Kalmar, Sweden.
